Why Wolves Should Be Reintroduced

The logger's union has begun protesting the reintroduction of timber wolves into the north country. They give two arguments:

1. Logging may be prohibitted where wolves have their dens.
2. It's not natural.

Am I the only one who sees a glaring inconsistancy there?

The argument for reintroduction given by conservation groups is that there used to be wolves here. Unfortunately, that is bogus reasoning. There also used to be only 100 people living in New Hampshire. Does that mean 1.1 million people should be required to move out? Don't be ridiculous.

No, a better argument is wolves eat moose. If you hit a wolf with your car, you get a dent. If you hit a moose with your car, you die. More wolves and fewer moose will make our roads safer.
