Installed Nov 9 2014:

My new workbench is 11 feet long, 24 to 27 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. Took three men to lift it into place. It is a single white pine board.

Bolted from underneath, along the wall through drilled holes and along the outer edge through slots. As the slab dries out and shrinks, the slots accomodate the changing dimensions. This should make it less likely to split.
